Brady Morrison enlisted after high school and found himself in a unit sent to quell a Communist rebellion in South America. An informant or spy within the Pentagon released the details of the raid to his contact and the raid was a total failure. Brady and Grant are trying to flee the ambush and take cover without success.
Brady panics as he realizes that he forgot to turn off the safety. Two rebels are aiming at him and he sees white smoke from their weapons.
The bullets slam against his chest.
The enemy approaches. They are young, his age and smiling . His chest is burning. The vest? Surely it saved him.
His grandfather, a veteran of Vietnam had warned him of the abuse of dead Americans if the situation was out of our control. His attempt to get stateside duty failed. He is dying, His victors are laughing. He had been shown photos of what they might do to him. He begged and began to cry. They were undressing him. He couldn’t see, only hear as he felt his briefs being pulled down his legs.

In Vietnam, the American and ARVN troops would strip the dead VC’s for photographs and the body count. Clothing was searched for maps or orders. A friend told me that they had dead females in the lineups also.
It starts with Grant and Brady, then the others from the ambush in the central park.
This poor guy was shot through the axis and paralyzed. A woman worked on him until he had a full erection which he couldn’t feel as he was laid out with the others, photographed and bleeds to death.
